-In modern years, Sri Lanka has been ranked among the best tourist destinations in the world. This island has very many attractive sites such as ancient kingdoms, beautiful beaches, national museums, wildlife sanctuaries and water parks.
-The locals are also very friendly. There is all sort of sea food as well as some fine wine.

(A) BAMBARAND FALLS.
-Bambarand falls is no doubt the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka and stands at a height of 263 meters. Globally the waterfall is ranked as the 299th tallest waterfall. The fall is situated in Kalupahana in Badullah District.
-The nearest highway is the A4 Highway about 5 kilometer away from the fall.
(B) ROYAL BOTANICAL GARDENS.
-This garden was established in the 13th century.
-This is one of the most visited sites in Sri Lanka and hosts more than 2 million tourists annually. It is 5.5 kilometers from Kandy city.
-The garden is home to thousands spicies of flowers and plants. The Royal Botanical Garden is renowned for it’s collection of orchids. In general, the garden has more than 4,000 different types of species, trees, flowers and orchids.
-The garden sits on a 147 acres piece of land and receives some considerable amount of rainfall.
(C) Yala National Park.
-The Yala national park is the most visited park in Sri Lanka. It is also the second largest park in Sri Lanka. The park sits on a 979 square kilometer piece of land.
-It was established as a wildlife sanctuary in 1900 and was one of the first two national parks to be opened in Sri Lanka.
-The park is well known for a variety of wildlife including the lankan leopards, aquatic birds and Sri Lankan elephants. The park is also home to many flora and fauna as well as different animal and birds species.
-Flowers and trees species are plenty in this national park.
-Dambulla is home to some of the ancient historical sites in Sri Lanka. Most notably of all is the largest and a very well preserved cave temple complex.
-Dambulla is believed to have been inhabited during the 7th to 3rd century BC. It is very rich on the history of Sri Lanka. It also is home to the Dambulla international stadium that is famous just been completed in 167 days.
-The Dambulla cave temple is the most visited place in Dambulla with rock towers as high as 160 meters tall.
(E) Kumana National Park.
-This park is famous for bird watching especially the large flocks of waterfowls. The park offers visitors with extremely nice site seeing and it is also a very good place to go hiking.
-There are also other different species of animals like the Elephants, Leopards, golden Jackal, fishing cat among others.
-These are some of the best sites that a visitor can decide to visit. All foreign visitors are required to have a Sri lanka visa in order to visit these sites.
